Tips
Very spicy, but don't be afraid to add more or take a little out to match your preference!
If you aren't a big fan of olives, don't leave them out entirely, but go with 1/2 cup. They add a nice underlying flavor as well as a little saltiness to the dish.
For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice mixture for at least 30 minutes (or longer) before cooking. This allows the spices to penetrate the meat.
Fresh, high-quality spices will significantly enhance the flavor of your dish. Consider toasting whole spices and grinding them yourself for an even richer taste.
When cooking the chicken, start by browning it in a hot skillet. This creates a flavorful crust and adds depth to the overall taste.
If your recipe calls for it, sear the rice briefly with the spices and aromatics before adding liquid. This step intensifies the rice's flavor.
